On Sundays Mauerpark turns to a stage for everyone who wants to sing in front of a very tollerant audience. Mauerpark has an arena in which the people seat to watch the karaoke show. The sound system is essential. A funny English guy presents the singers and you can assist to unpredictable happenings. The park, especially in spring, is crowd of people playing, making music and having good time.

Schnitzel is a fried slice of meat. It is quite common to find this dish all over the Europe. Spain calls it Milanesa, Italy calls it Cotoletta.In Berlin (Richardplatz ) I ate the biggest Schnitzel/Cotoletta/Milanesa of my life, we shared one in three persons!
Horse riding in camargue national park
If you go to Camargue, the French national park, you can't loose a ride on a native horse. I found my horse (named Lesley) in the farm-hotel Cacharel, next to a wild zone of the part. The price for 2 hour was 28 euro. When the guide proposed me to "gallop" and I agreed I did not know what it could happen.... no way to stop!
Saintes Maries de la Mer and the Camargue National Park
The Camargue National park in Provence is fantastic. The delta of the Rhine is an oasis for birds, wild hourses and native animals. Even the native mosquitos are beautiful and enormous.
Riding on the roads of the park, you get used to see free horses next to the road and flying flamingos. Sant Maries de la Mer is the most important town in the park. The region had a massive immigration of Spanish gypsy. There are plenty of concerts of French style rumba and games with bulls near the towns.
In May there is a gypsy festival that is really worth seeing.

Ko Lipe and Ko Tarutao in Thailand
Tarutao national park is located in the south of Thailand next to the edge with Malaysia. The park is a set of beutifull islands in the Andaman sea. The only island opened to tourism is Ko Lipe; this island was a gift of the Thai king to the Andaman's gypsy fisher population. The beaches, the corals, the tropical fishes (there is also Nemo), the barbeques on the beach... everything is just perfect.
Jenny's restaurant in Ko Phangan
If you go to Ko Phangan you have to try Jenny's restaurant (maybe a pizza or a pasta). The food is really good, everything is handmade even the pasta. He also organizes on Wednesdays a lovely musical afternoon party for the kids of the village, including his daughters. If you go to his restaurant you can say that you have read the Elio's recommendation. The boy has a big heart and you will have a lot of fun with him!

Geronimo on Pelourinho
Every Tuesday Geronimo, a known musician of Salvador, organizes a jam session next to Pelourinho, the oldest district in Salvador. The guests are always very good music players, he is also considered as a wise guide by the people of Bahia, everybody knows and just loves him, from richest people to the children living in the streets. If he is still organizing the jam, I recommend you go to see him!.
